Spanning 3 years and totalling 363 credits, this programme blends live online interactive learning with in-person training, equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience required to excel in the field of Neuroscience Acupuncture.

 The BNA programme is structured to balance academic rigor with practical application, ensuring students are thoroughly prepared for clinical excellence.

 The BNA program includes 9 core modules and 1 elective, covering topics such as:

• Foundations of Traditional Acupuncture.
• Neuroscience Principles in Acupuncture.
• Electrical Stimulation Techniques for Neuromodulation.
• Clinical Case Management and Evaluations.
• Ethical Practices and Patient Communication.

Incorporating modern neuroscience with traditional acupuncture practices, the curriculum bridges ancient wisdom with contemporary medical science.

 The programme ensures academic and clinical competence through diverse evaluation methods, including:

• Written and practical exams.
• Case studies and continuous case study evaluations.
• Direct feedback during clinical practice.
• Clinical competency evaluations.
• A Capstone CARE Project focused on practical applications in neuro-modulation, neuro-rehabilitation, or neuro-regulation.

These assessments are designed to test knowledge, clinical skills, and the ability to deliver evidence-based treatments.

Practical experience is at the heart of the BNA programme, with 400 hours of hands-on clinical training.

• Training Location: Neuroscience Acupuncture Clinic, Liverpool.
• Human Cadaver Training: Offers students a deep anatomical understanding, enhancing their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world clinical settings.
• Focus Areas: Electrical stimulation techniques, neuromodulation protocols, and patient-centred care.

This immersive training prepares students for the complexities of clinical practice and equips them with advanced skills to address complex neurological and chronic pain conditions as well as internal medicine conditions.

 Our faculty is composed of seasoned professionals with diverse expertise, including teachers with Doctorates in Neuroscience Acupuncture (DNA) and Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, alongside a consultant general surgeon and a consultant radiologist. Supporting them is a dedicated student coordinator, ensuring a holistic and rigorous learning experience that blends academic insights with real-world expertise.

To ensure the program attracts motivated and capable students, the following entry criteria apply:

• Standard Entry: 3 A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or equivalent).
• Alternative Entry:
  • Level 3 qualification in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology.
  • OR Access to Higher Learning (Health Sciences or similar).
